For the second part of my public service project “I watched Sicko so you wouldn’t have to” I present a detailed synopsis of the movie that will at once inform you of the content of said film and also allow you to engage in debate over the film without having to endure taunts from liberals that you are “criticizing a movie that you haven’t even seen.” If you attend this post carefully, you will easily pass any movie trivia quiz the Moorish throw at you.
This synopsis is presented with as much objectivity as I can muster. I will reserve my editorial comments for a subsequent post.

Michael Moore said that he didn’t care if his new movie Sicko was downloaded off of the internet so, with the aid of a google search, I found myself a copy and… downloaded.
I ended up with is a full, 2 hour, 4 minute, high quality — but low resolution — 16:9 .avi file. I’ve been around the media industry long enough to know when I’m looking at a studio rip from the original master. This is not a bootleg video. I can’t prove it but my professional guess is that this 696MB file — which coincidentally fits almost perfectly on a standard CD — was leaked by the studio as part of a viral marketing campaign.

Durham North Carolina District Attorney Michael Nifong has lost his job and his law license. He deserved this fate. And he deserves the multi-million dollar lawsuits against him already in the works for his vile attempt to buy votes by railroading three innocent Duke Univeristy Lacrosse players. So why can’t I bring myself to be joyous at this deliverance of justice?

I haven’t blogged much since mid-May because I haven’t had much to say. Sure, stuff has happened and some of it is interesting, but that doesn’t mean that I have any light to shed on it. I just didn’t want to fall into the trap of blogging for the sake of blogging. The problem there is that blogging is something of a discipline that has to be kept up.
The first couple of days of refusing to blog gratuitously made me feel all virtuous and intellectually pure. Then it became an excuse…then simply a bad habit. Then I had excuses: My new Fred Thompson website (soon to be revealed); My mother’s blog (more on that to follow); The big project at work…etc, etc.
So I’m forcing myself to sit down and blog today and finding that I do, in fact, have a few things to say. Let’s see how much I manage to get in the queue today. What am I thinking about? Well…
- Fred Thompson — Of course!
- My mother’s blog — Could be interesting.
- The Yankees — Back on a winning streak.
- Immigration — I’m for it, when it’s legal.
- Albania — I’ll explain later.
- Other stuff…
